("QualifiedHire" "we," or "us"), to describe how we collect, store, use, and disclose your information when you use our website: ("Site"). Also listed are the choices available to the user ("you") in regard to our use of your personal information and how the user can access and update this information.


We collect information about you in different wayswhen you use our Sites. QualifiedHire will collect, store, and use personally identifiable information only in compliance with applicable law, including the FCRA.

When you register for an account to use our Services ("Account"), by filling out our contact form, or by otherwise engaging with our website, we may collect the following personal information from you ("Registration and Contact Information"):

  • Your name, email address, postal address, phone number, and/or password;
  • User generated content and other information that you provide;
  • Transaction-related information; and/or
  • Payment Method information if you purchase our products or services on our Sites.

Access to certain QualifiedHire web pages and online services isn't available to the general public and requires the creation of a QualifiedHire account.

When our site is used to request a pre-employment background screening, we collect information of the candidate including (but not limited to) name, email address, Social Security Number, address, and date of birth. We use this information for the purpose of completing the requested background screening.

When our Site is visited, we may also automatically collect technical data and usage information including, but not limited to IP addresses, search logs, MAC IDs and Device IDs, and other non-specific information that enables us or our third-party vendors to help us track and prevent fraud, ("Usage Information"). We use several methods to collect Usage Information, including the following:

  • Cookies. Cookies are small file of data that are stored on your hard drive by a website. Among other things, cookies assist us to improve our Sites and your experience. We use cookies to show which areas and features are popular and to count visits to our Sites. We use both persistent cookies and session ID cookies. When you close your browser, a session ID cookie expires. We use session cookies to make it more easy for you to navigate our site. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for extended periods of time. We use persistent cookies to remember your computer and passwords so that you don't need to re-enter your log in information repeatedly each and every time you use the site. Persistent cookies also used to enable us to track and target the interests of our users in order to enhance the site's experience. It's easy if you would like to disable cookies, by changing your browser settings, or by enabling Do Not Track features in your browser. Be aware that you may not be able to use certain features of our products if you disable cookies.

    The use of cookies by our affiliates, partners, and service providers is also covered by our privacy policy. We do not have control or access over these cookies. Our affiliates, partners, and service providers use session ID and persistent cookies to monitor usage of the sites in order to customize the customer experience, and provide relevant advertising, as well as monitor the effectiveness of QualifiedHire's marketing campaigns.
  • Analytics/Log Files. As is true of most web sites today, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes browser type, Internet Protocol (IP) addresses,Internet Service Provider (ISP) data, exit and referring pages, operating system, time and date stamps, and clickstream data.

    We use this information, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track user movements around the site, and to gather demographic information about our user base. None of this use of information will identify individual users.

    We may link this automatically-collected data to personal information in order to troubleshoot errors and/or to analyze site usage patterns. We will never share data that has been automatically linked to personal information with any third party.
  • Web Beacons. Web beacons are electronic images that might be used on our Sites or in our email communications. We use web beacons to deliver cookies, count visits, understand campaign effectiveness and usage, and determine whether an email has been opened, forwarded and/or acted upon. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user's computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on web pages. We do not tie the information gathered by clear gifs to a customer's personal information, ever.

    Our third party partners employ clear gifs (a.k.a. web beacons/web bugs), images, and scripts that help them better manage content on our site. Our third party partners will not merge the information gathered to the customer/user's personal information.Your personal information is personal, and we respect that.
  • Local Shared Objects. We may use local shared objects to store your preferences such as page width, volume control or to display personalized content. Third party partners may provide certain features on our sites, which might display advertising based on your browsing activity and use Flash cookies to collect/store information.
  • Flash Cookies. We may also use Flash cookies to collect information. Flash cookies which differ from browser cookies. Flash cookies store information differently because of the amount and type of stored data. Cookie management tools provided by your browser usually will not remove Flash cookies.


We use your Registration and Contact Information and Usage Information to:

  • Operate and improve our Sites, services and products;
  • Help us understand you and your preferences, which can improve experience and enjoyment while you are using our sites, services and products;
  • Respond to your questions/comments and provide better customer service;
  • Provide and deliver services and products that you request;

All Payment Method information that we collect through the Site will be used only used to bill for our services and products. The information is processed by a certified third-party service provider that is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard ("PCI DSS"). We never disclose your Registration and Contact Information or any other personal information except in limited circumstances described here:

  • Only if You Consent: We may share or disclose your information with your consent, such as when you use a third party web client or application to access your Account;
  • Service Providers: We may provide your personal information to companies that provide services to help us with our business activities such as processing payments or offering customer service. These companies are authorized to use your personal information when it is only necessary for the company to provide services only as necessary to provide these services to us.
  • Advertising. We may display targeted advertisements based on your personal information. Although we do not provide personal information to the advertiser, when you view or interact with a targeted advertisement, the advertiser may assume that you meet targeting criteria used to display the advertisement.   • Law Enforcement / Fraudulent Harm: We may preserve and/or disclose your information if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a regulation, law, or legal request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, technical issues or security issues; or to protect QualifiedHire's rights/property;
  • Business Transfers: In the event that QualifiedHire is involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or reorganization or sale of assets, your information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. Of course, the promises of this Policy will apply to your information as transferred to the new entity. Any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information, will be prominently notified to the user via email or website notice.
  • Non-Private or Non-Personal Information: We may share or disclose your non-private, aggregated, or otherwise non-personal information.


We will not transfer personal information to third parties that reside outside of the United States (or its territories) during the preparation or processing of consumer reports.

In order to help us identify and block individuals suspected of misuse and/or fraudulent activity, we partner with third party vendors to actively analyze purchases, attempted purchases, high-volume search activity, and use of our Sites. To do this, we use a technique known as deep packet tracing that logs unique features of particular devices such as MAC IDs, unique device IDs, IP addresses, as well as geographic locations, and other similar factors. We reserve the right to disclose this information to law enforcement and our security partners when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent or report fraud. We may share data (including but not limited to suspect payment information, IP addresses, email addresses, conducted searches, etc.) with our payment processors, and law enforcement, in an effort to combat fraud. Each user consents to the provision of this information (including keyword search data) for such purposes.


If your personal information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may delete, remove, or deactivate it (or correct, update, and amend it) by making the change on our user information page or by emailing us at We will respond to your request to change access information within 30 days.


QualifiedHire will retain the information you provide to us for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide requested services. We will use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements.Qualified Hire stores and processes personal information solely in the United States, and never "overseas".


We may use the information we collect to contact you as well as provide information about QualifiedHire services and products, send you newsletters and/or promotional emails, respond to your comments and questions, notify you of any changes to your account, or to send confirmations, notices of a technical nature, updates, security alerts, and support and other messages. By registering with QualifiedHire, you are authorizing QualifiedHire to email you in accordance with this Policy. Any user may opt out of receiving newsletters or promotional emails from us by replying "unsubscribe" or clicking on the unsubscribe link in those emails, by sending us a message by email or postal mail at the address below. We will work diligently to implement your request within a reasonable period of time after receiving it.

Our website may include Social Media Features, such as the Facebook and other Widgets, "share buttons", or interactive mini-programs that run on our site. These social media features may collect your IP address, may index the page you are visiting on our site, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social Media Features and Widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Site. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company that provides it.

California's 'Do Not Track' law

When you browse our website, we may use trusted third-party tools to analyze website usage, monitor performance, and prevent fraud. QualifiedHire does not currently respond to browser settings such as Do Not Track. Third party tools, such as our fraud prevention tools, may also collect personally identifiable information irregardless if you enable the Do Not Track setting in your browser; however, this data is used specifically for fraud and abuse prevention and will never be used for any marketing purposes.

California Information-Sharing Disclosure

We will not share your personal information with third parties for direct marketing purposes, unless we have your permission.

Children's Information

QualifiedHire is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If, however, we discover that we have collected personal information on a child under the age of 13 via, we will promptly remove it from our systems.
